Elephants Toothpaste Experiment

After introducing ourselves to the kids, we conducted an exothermic foaming reaction combining a hydrogen peroxide and dish soap solution with an activated yeast solution. The chemical reaction creates a foam similar to that of a giant squeeze of toothpaste, almost large enough for an elephant!
In addition to introducing ourselves to the students and making clear our initiative's purpose, we were able to demonstrate important elements of a chemical reaction such as the reactants and products and also indicators of a chemical reaction, including the formation of bubbles or the formation of heat
