Students were challenged and competed to design a balloon-powered car using materials we provided to wheel their vehicle as far a distance as they could!
The balloon car project proved to be a versatile activity that allowed us to introduce to students Newtons Laws of Motion and kinetic and potential energy dynamics. Not to mention, the task at hand was difficult and gave students exposure to the engineering design process.
Students utilized entrepreneurial mindsets like problem solving, resourcefulness, and adaptability all in one hands-on activity!
